Hello—
So, first, an announcement: My first non-self-published poem appeared in The Mersey Review this week. It’s a great issue with a ton of other work that I really enjoyed, and I’m really pleased that this poem has a home outside of this blog. If you give it a read, I’m grateful!
I’ve been writing lots of poems recently, but I don’t know how many of them will appear here. I have come to realize recently that I think it’s better for my goals as a writer to focus on writing with an eye towards external publication as opposed to online self-publishing. Maybe I will say more about this eventually, but for now, just know that I probably won’t be publishing here on a consistent basis moving forward. For those of you who are invested in my writing, I really value your time and attention with my work, and I hope that I’ll have more announcements like this one to share with you soon.
Of course, this is still my blog with my name on it, so you can expect to see personal writing, updates, and other detritus unsuitable for traditional publishing appear here from time to time.
That said, these are two poems I wrote this week, for this week. You can have them.
Wherever you are, I hope you’re well.
